This heat-tolerant shrub is prized for it's maple leaf-shaped foliage in gorgeous shades of mahogany red. It can grow to be 3-5' tall so give it plenty of space. Note: red color develops when in full sun. The start pictured above reflects the more green/rust coloring that occurs when grown indoors or in part sun. Expect the foliage to redden when planted out! This start grows as a tender perennial in the Pacific Northwest (meaning it comes back if the winters are mild).
